Dear Friend,
Welcome back to my Week in Review newsletter. Please remember to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube for regular updates on how I am serving the people of South Carolina!
Supporting Law Enforcement Officers
Our nation’s law enforcement officers have been under unprecedented attack at a time when crime is on the rise around the country. Americans across the nation rely on over 900,000 law enforcement officers to protect their communities.
As I continue to serve South Carolinians, I will continue to fight to increase police funding and push back on the Biden Administration’s soft on crime policies. Our brave men and women deserve not only our deepest respect and gratitude, but also the resources they need to serve our country.

Serving our Country
Learn about our nation’s Service Academies here.
Every year, I am privileged to nominate a select number of students to the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S Air Force Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Approved candidates receive a commission in their respective branch of service after graduation.

Spilling the #SCSweetTea and Highlighting a Legacy
This week, I am spilling the #SCSweet Tea on a scholarship honoring the legacy of Edward Leon Guenveur and Lauretta Goodall-Guenveur. Edward and Lauretta worked tirelessly to ensure all had access to education regardless of race. Despite the College of Charleston’s difficult past, its commitment today to educating a diverse student body will change the trajectory of these students’ lives.
