Dear Friend,

Welcome back to my Week in Review newsletter. Please remember to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube for regular updates on how I am serving the people of South Carolina!

As the 118th Congress draws to a close, I am incredibly proud of the work we’ve accomplished on behalf of South Carolinians, and I look forward to tackling all the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead next year. President-elect Trump and Republicans are ready to get America back on track and deliver lasting solutions for the American people.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Meeting with President-elect Trump’s Nominees

I had the privilege of meeting with several of the nominees selected by President-elect Trump to serve in critical positions throughout this new administration, including Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Kelly Loeffler, Pete Hegseth, and Kash Patel. Our discussions revealed a range of perspectives on the challenges that lie ahead. President Trump won a sweeping victory and should have the latitude to choose the Cabinet he feels will best serve the American people. I look forward to learning more and further considering their nominations during their upcoming confirmation hearings.

Supporting Our Military

South Carolina is pivotal to our nation’s military training and readiness. In an effort to bolster our armed services, I successfully fought to raise pay for our servicemembers, revitalize defense infrastructure, and rid our military of woke policies. I was proud to support this year’s NDAA in support of our troops and military. As chaos unravels on the global stage, it is vital that we equip our servicemembers and military with the necessary resources to deter threats at home and abroad, while we continue to support our allies in the face of aggression.
