A few years ago, I switched from an iPhone to a Pixel phone largely because I felt notifications in iOS were terrible. I can't tell you how many times I missed an important email or Slack message because iOS decided that I didn't need to know about it. Now multiple journalists are reporting that iOS 15 might revamp notifications. This feels like an even bigger deal than it was in 2015, when someone could walk over to my desk and say, "I sent you an email. What gives?" With folks living the WFH indefinitely, it's probably high time for iOS alerts to be a little more useful. Do you share my disdain for iOS alerts? What else are you hoping to see in iOS 15? As always, let me know in this SaaSOps Community thread. |
