Biography
One day a profound experience took place in my studio, I was painting freely and realized that I was in a 'FLOW' of creative energy that was engaging my whole being, as though I did not need to think; I just had to trust my artistic abilities, my instincts, who I am and what I had to express. It confirmed my confidence in my skills and what I wanted to say. It was a phenomenal revelation. I could believe in myself as an artist. What I wanted to paint could come freely without planning.
I taught Art for 28 years and loved teaching. I was learning through teaching which defines processes of creating art and from seeing the student's work which was often so revelatory.
It has been great to be an artist as I have worked with materials that I love; from making art from found things at my grandma's apartment when I was 4 to earning an MFA at university. I have spent my life in art and travelling around the world seeking it. Now, in this age, making art is a Pandora's box where any media can be used and combined with others to make Art.
A knowledge of art, the history of the world of art and architecture has added a deeper experience to my life, while traveling, walking in nature and building my life. It has given me so much joy. I recommend it heartily.
