| | Sustainability Grants for Schools and Community Our Sustainability Grants program is now accepting applications all year round to support schools. Schools can apply for grants of up to $4,000.
Previous projects undertaken by schools include: - Rejuvenation of school grounds and nearby bushland through revegetation efforts.
- Establishment of food gardens and bushtucker gardens.
- Implementation of waste sorting systems and composting initiatives.
- Creation of nature play areas using natural materials.
- Large-scale waterwise planting and landscaping projects.
- Setting up native plant propagation stations and educational resources.
- Organizing bike-to-school workshops, events, and providing equipment.
- Conducting waste audits to improve waste management practices.
- Installation of Aboriginal culture interpretive signage and hosting workshops.
- Workshops and activities focused on bird and microbat conservation, including habitat box building.
- Assistance for school environmental clubs through workshops and provision of tools.
