Kambarang

As the temperature rises, we usher in the Nyungar season of Kambarang (October and November). Often referred to as the "second spring," Kambarang brings about extended dry spells and coincides with a vibrant burst of colours as flowers bloom abundantly. This season is characterized by increased activity, with creatures like the Nornt (Western Tiger Snake) emerging from rest, and young birds gaining their independence. Kambarang also signals the start of swooping season, as vigilant parents such as the Koolbardi (Magpies) fiercely defend their offspring.
