Olympian Jamie Yeung Retires from Swimming With Legacy
of Never Giving Up on Dreams, and Giving Back

Jamie Yeung never gave up on her dream of making it to the Olympics.

It was a dream many swimmers share.

But for years, Yeung was so close, only to have that dream dashed.

Yeung never gave up and after graduating from the University of Michigan, kept that dream alive in her native Hong Kong and qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.

On Friday, she announced her retirement from the sport.

Aussie 100 Freestyle King Kyle Chalmers Back In Fast Lane In 47.69 At Sydney Open
 
It took Australian sprint king Kyle Chalmers just 47.69 seconds last night to send a clear message that he’s both physically and mentally ready to take on the world in Fukuoka this year.

The 24-year-old set himself a target to swim under 48 seconds at the 2023 Sydney Open UNISPORT Nationals and he achieved his goal with flying colours.

“I’ve been 48.00 seconds twice this year and tonight I set myself a target to go under but I didn’t think I’d dip that far under, that’s a massive win for me,”

Cameron McEvoy Clocks 21.85 For His Fastest 50m In Four Years As Bronte Campbell Returns In 24.97


Two of Australia’s premier freestyle sprinters Cameron McEvoy and Bronte Campbell turned back the clock during the first session of the 2023 Sydney Open at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre today.

On the eve of their 29th birthdays, the triple Olympians, showed there was no slowing down as they both set their sights on a fourth Olympic campaign towards Paris, 2024.

Olympic champions Kaylee McKeown and Zac Stubblety-Cook have chased their own respective world records on the final night of the 2023 Sydney Open And UNISPORT Nationals at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, finishing just a second outside their respective marks.

One month out from the Australian World Trials in Melbourne and two of the Dolphins premier performers have sent signals to the world that they will take some stopping in Fukuoka at this year’s World Championships in July-August.

Caeleb Dressel Goes 53.60 in 100 Fly in Return at Atlanta Classic
 

In his return to the pool, Caeleb Dressel was third in the preliminary heats of the men’s 100 butterfly Friday morning at the Atlanta Classic. Dressel went 53.60 in prelims.

That seeds him third for the evening finals, behind Florida’s Josh Liendo (52.16) and Martin Espernberger of Tennessee (53.46). Dressel earlier in the session scratched out of the 200 free. It’s his first meet since last summer’s World Championships, which he departed early.
