Duncan Scott Wins 200 Free For Third Title Of British Champs As James Guy Hails ā€œA Skinnier Version Of Michael Phelpsā€

Duncan ScottĀ beat the Olympic champion to win the 200 free following a British Championships which underlined his all-round excellence and ledĀ James GuyĀ to describe him as ā€œlike a Michael Phelps ā€“ but a skinnier versionā€.

Olympic silver medallist Scott forged ahead in the final 25m with Tokyo championĀ Tom DeanĀ on his shoulder after Guy had led for 175m to stop the clock at 1:45.54.

Florent Manaudou ā€˜Regrets Nothingā€™ After Injury Forced 50 Free Withdrawal At French Champs

Florent ManaudouĀ injured his left knee during the 50m breaststroke forcing him out of the freestyle dash at theĀ French Elite ChampionshipsĀ in Limoges.

The four-time world champion had to withdraw from the 50 free at the premier selection meet for theĀ World ChampionshipsĀ in June and Augustā€™s European showcase.

Olympian Jake Mitchell to Transfer from Michigan to Florida

Olympic swimmerĀ Jake MitchellĀ has announced he will transfer to the University of Florida.

The sophomore at Michigan was an All-American and two-time Big Ten champion for the Wolverines.

The NCAA Championships did not go as well as expected for Mitchell and the Wolverines, but he is looking for a fresh start at Florida, training with fellow distance and mid-distance freestylers likeĀ Kieran SmithĀ andĀ Bobby Finke.
