Olympic Silver Medalist Emma Weyant Transferring to University of Florida

One of the top 400 IMers in the United States will have a new collegiate home this fall. Emma Weyant, who took silver in the 400 IM at the Tokyo Olympics and bronze in the event at this summer’s World Championships, is heading to the University of Florida. Weyant, 20, competed this past year at the University of Virginia. She announced the transfer in an Instagram post Sunday.

At End of Auction, Olympic Medals of Ryan Lochte Command Rich Bids; More Than $150K to Aid Charity

Thursday marked the final day of bidding for the various Olympic medals that Ryan Lochte put on the block through RR Auction. The “Ryan Lochte Collection” first went up for bid on June 24, and the 12-time Olympic medalist plans to donate the proceeds to charity. When the auction closed in the early evening, the five Lochte lots commanded more than $150,000 combined.

Evgeniia Chikunova Swims 2:20.41 200 Breast, Kliment Kolesnikov Wins Twice at Russian Solidarity Games

In his first chapter of international racing, Carson Foster was a 200 backstroke specialist. Long before he became the top American medley swimmer with a pair of silver medals at the World Championships, a 15-year-old Foster swam at the 2017 World Junior Championships in Indianapolis and captured a silver medal in the 200 backstroke (behind a future rival in collegiate swimming, Spain’s Hugo Gonzalez).
