SYRIA SAFE ZONES : Russian proposal bars US warplanes

A Russian envoy said Friday that U.S. and coalition warplanes would not be allowed to fly over designated “de-escalation zones.” He made the remarks after Russia, Iran and Turkey agreed to establish the safe zones. US planes would still be able to conduct operations in other parts of the country, according to the envoy.
