Jeff Jones has stepped down as president of Uber after just six months, citing recent controversies. "It is now clear, however, that the beliefs and approach to leadership that have guided my career are inconsistent with what I saw and experienced at Uber, and I can no longer continue as president of the ride-sharing business," he said.

Walt Disney Co. agrees to pay $3.8 million in workers' back pay
Walt Disney Co. is paying $3.8 million to 16,339 employees in its hotel and timeshare businesses amid an investigation by the Labor Department on allegations of various rule violations. The company said it is changing some procedures in light of the allegations.

Employee wellness programs have positive effects, study says
A study in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine showed more than 75% of employers with wellness programs found they had a positive impact, with 83.6% indicating they helped employee health, 83.3% saying they improved performance and productivity, and 73.6% reporting they benefited health costs. Researchers said 80.6% of employers offered a wellness program and 59.6% of employees indicated they supported employer involvement in their health.
