The Water Cooler
A new insect-eating plant has been discovered along the Pacific coast and will be described in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Triantha occidentalis grows in bright, boggy spots up the coast from California to Alaska and is unusual because it ensnares its tiny prey close to its flowers, which other larger insects pollinate.
