Dear Skateistan supporters,
By reading our newsletters, sharing our campaign, and making donations, you have helped us to build a brighter future for children in Bamyan! At the end of last year, we ran a fundraising campaign to raise $300,000 to run inspiring and empowering programs at our new Skate School in Bamyan, Afghanistan. At the end of the year, our total was $317,000 and because of an incredibly generous offer to match donations made in December, we have now raised $517,000! Thank you!
This past month, students and staff participated in in-person programs in Afghanistan and South Africa, and our students in Cambodia were happy to return to the Skate School the first week of January after another lockdown for covid-19 in the country.

2020 was a challenging year for everyone, and that was especially true for Kabul, Afghanistan. However, there were many moments to celebrate for our staff and students, and we wrote about those moments in a blog post on our website.
