"Wanna go for a walk with Addie?"

These magic words get my grandchildren wiggling about and rushing for the door. "Let's go, Addie!" Kalei shouts and drags her little brother outside.

They love walks. Being outside, breathing in fresh air, collecting rocks, leaves and flowers. Plus, I usually spring for ice cream or a cold drink. Walks are a promise of adventure and fun.

I encourage you to take a walking adventure this week. As we see in our Health & Wellness story today, walking is wonderful for your physical and mental health. Find a new local trail to explore. Grab a coffee and walk at the beach. Call a friend and make it a time to chat and catch up. Or do what I do and throw your earbuds in and enjoy an audiobook. (I recently finished Alan Brennert's "Molokai." So good!)

Just get outside. Let the fresh air and sunshine clear your mind and let the physical movement limber up those joints.

How can I serve you better with this brief? Let me know! And if you enjoy this brief, tell others so they can benefit also.
