Deep Dive: China Goes All In on AI |
|
Children are the future…of China’s AI ambitions. Beijing will introduce artificial intelligence courses to primary and secondary schools to further the country’s goal of dominating a sector that the US previously ruled. The plan sees students taking at least eight hours of AI classes per academic year, part of the government’s pledge to step up support for its tech companies as they make rapid advances with recent successes like DeepSeek and much-hyped new agent, Manus. The startup’s big splash into the sector has revitalized China’s stock market even as the US’s slides. The Nasdaq 100 Index sank into a correction at the end of last week as investors soured on American megacaps—futures suggest more misery is coming today. He signed a six-year deal worth $330 million, of which $250 million is guaranteed, the AP reported. Meanwhile, star Jets receiver Davante Adams is heading to the Rams on a two-year contract. And among those topping the list of available free agents this week: Josh Sweat and Milton Williams, both Super Bowl winners with the Eagles. |
