Good morning, sports fans. We've got a short stack of LSU sports news for you today. Hey, after all the food offerings at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans over the weekend, I know I need to pare down. We'll start with baseball, which is trying to generate some momentum coming down the home stretch of its season. The Tigers have won their past two SEC series, including taking two of three from Auburn this past weekend. But now LSU gets No. 1-ranked Texas A&M this weekend at The Box after Tuesday night's game against Grambling State. Our Koki Riley has his end-of-April observations on the Tigers and tries to figure out where they go from here. By the way, LSU is back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night against Grambling at Alex Box Stadium. Softball is done with the SEC portion of its schedule and now hosts Liberty this weekend for a three-game set before heading off to the SEC Tournament next weekend in Auburn, Alabama. The Tigers need a little confidence boost after dropping six of their last eight SEC games. And finally, one of LSU gymnastics' top recruits says she done with pursuing the whole elite/international level thing for a shot at making the U.S. team for this summer's Olympic Games. She said a recent injury knocked her off the road to Paris, but does ensure that she will be getting 100% ready for her LSU debut in January. That's all for now, folks.
