Talking crawfish

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana business editor

When temperatures across the region hit historic lows during the Louisiana blizzard of 2025, area crawfish burrowed deeper into their holes to stay warm.

But that was last week. The air started warming over the weekend, and daytime temperatures are expected to stay in the low 70s into at least next week. That means that the crustaceans will experience little more than a temporary slowdown in growth, according to LSU AgCenter crawfish extension agent Todd Fontenot.

You can read Joanna Brown's story here.

Have a great day and thanks for reading.
