Together, we have created many special memories at TD Place. Through the heart pounding victories, devastating losses, incredible concerts, shows, and festivals we have come together and strengthened our bond as a community. Collectively, we have infused Lansdowne with a renewed sense of purpose, place, and people but there is still more work to be done.

Today, I am reaching out because I need your help.

Over the last four years we have been working diligently with our partner, the City of Ottawa to finish what we started....creating An Even Better Lansdowne by replacing the old, outdated, inaccessible, and inadequate city-owned 55 year old arena and north stadium stands (the old "Civic Centre").

Our goal is simple. We want to replace these end-of-life facilities to ensure that Lansdowne remains Ottawa's central gathering place for generations to come.

Lansdowne has become one of the City of Ottawa's most important assets. It is now one of Ottawa's biggest attractions, welcoming over four million guests annually and it has become a significant economic driver contributing more than three-hundred million to the local economy. This important city-building initiative will be considered at Committee and City Council in the coming weeks. As someone who has a vested interest in Lansdowne and ensuring Ottawa has the sport and entertainment facilities it needs and rightfully deserves; we need your support.

I am asking you to contact your councillor here and make sure they know that on November 10 you expect them to:

Support Lansdowne 2.0 and an investment in their facilities at Lansdowne. Facilities that supports 4+ million visitors, 4,000+ jobs and $300M annually in economic impact; and
Vote to finish what we started at Lansdowne and accept City staff's four years of work and recommendations to build An Even Better Lansdowne.

I am tremendously proud of what we have built at Lansdowne and look forward to making Ottawa's Gathering Place even better and the source of millions more memories for future generations. But that won't happen without you speaking up. Please reach out today.
