Meet the Author: Eric Velasquez

Eric Velasquez is an award-winning author and illustrator of beloved classics such as Grandma's Records, Grandma's Gift, Looking for Bongo, and Octopus Stew. He has also illustrated numerous titles. In this interview with Colorín Colorado, Mr. Velasquez talks about growing up in Spanish Harlem, memories of his grandmother, and the experiences that led to him becoming a renowned artist today.

Introducing our new ELL strategy library!

Our new ELL strategy library includes more than two dozen strategies featuring step-by-step instructions, ideas for differentiation, and resources such as videos and practical examples. In addition, you can search for strategies by skill, language level, and more! Strategies include sentence frames, student-dependent questions, and text engineering.
