The nurses who took extraordinary action to care for patients in the country's first AIDS ward in the early 1980s have inspired a new teaching resource that motivates future nurses to follow a person-centered approach to care.

For this week's lead story, I spoke with Edilma Yearwood, PhD, PMHCNS-BC, FAAN, who led the committee that developed the Trailblazing Innovation Faculty Tool Kit.
