The first one in the bag, Hirschi finally sees the day...

After a week of close calls but no cigars, the team's attacking racing ensured they finally found their glory on stage 12 of the Tour de France. Described as a tactical masterclass, the team attacked with Søren Kragh Andersen and Tiesj Benoot to finally launch debutant Marc Hirschi forward for what would be an impressive 30 kilometre solo effort. The team would finish the day with three in the top ten, as Søren took third and Nicholas Roche, who expertly closed down any attempts of a chase behind Marc, rounded out the top ten. A true compliment to their efforts and a sign of more to come.

Kragh Andersen wins solo, but with the entire team behind him...

Two days later and following a very much noticed quiet day, Team Sunweb were back to their attacking ways on stage 14. Not content with the make-up of the breakaway in the early kilometres of the race, the team boldly sent Cees Bol and Casper Pedersen back to the peloton, leaving many questioning the team's plan for the day. All became clear in the final ten kilometres, as Team Sunweb put the hammer down with another trio of stinging attacks. Tiesj Benoot was the first rider to go clear, with Marc Hirschi following before Søren Kragh Andersen put in a final acceleration. With the rest of the team marking the front of the peloton, Søren paced his way to the finish line, raising his arms in glory after another phenomenal collective team effort. In the chasing peloton Tour debutant Casper Pedersen showed a clean pair of heels to sprint to fifth place, while Hirschi took tenth, making for yet another stage with three Team Sunweb riders in the top ten.

With the final week on the horizon, one thing is for sure - the team's collective strength will continue to fight for more here in France.

In action in Italy...

While the Tour de France is going on, our Men's and Women's Program are also in action at Tirreno Adriatico and the Giro Rosa.

The guys are putting in some great performances so far this week. Wilco Kelderman finished third on stage three on the punchy finish climb, and further backed up his good form with fourth, fifth and sixth placed finishes too! Heading into today's final time trial, Wilco sits in sixth place on GC, with Sam Oomen 11th and Jai Hindley in 13th and with the us leading the team classification. Will we get another good result this afternoon?

The longest stage race for our Women's Program is underway too; the Giro Rosa. A well-drilled ride on the opening team time trial saw them come away with a strong fifth place, just 13 seconds behind the stage winners. Stage two saw some bad luck hamper any GC challenge, but showing their fighting spirit, the team worked perfectly to set up Liane Lippert for a fantastic fourth place on yesterday's brutally steep finish climb. Heading into the rest of the race, the team is aiming to continue their aggressive racing and be on the hunt for more strong day results.
