Team Sunweb extend contracts with Storer and Tusveld

On the first rest day at the Vuelta a España, Team Sunweb are pleased to announce the contract extensions of Michael Storer and Martijn Tusveld, with both talents staying with the team until the end of the 2021 season.

Michael Storer (AUS)
After finishing in the top ten on GC at the famous Tour de l'Avenir stage race in back-to-back years, Storer joined the team in 2018. In his opening season he finished fifth on GC at both the Tour de Yorkshire and the Tour of Slovenia; highlighting his abilities as a strong, talented rider. Still only 22 years old, Storer provides good support for the team on differing terrains as he focuses on his continued development and growth as a rider over the coming seasons.

Martijn Tusveld (NED)
Tusveld has had a difficult 2019, suffering a bad crash in Paris-Nice that saw him out of action until June. Help from the team combined with a lot of drive and desire, Tusveld worked hard and fought to come back to the peloton; returning to racing at the Critérium du Dauphiné. Tusveld is a rider who performs well on both the climbs and time trials, capable of providing great support for a GC leader. A strong showing at the recent BinckBank Tour highlights that Tusveld is back on track in terms of performance, ready to embark on his second Grand Tour with the team at the Vuelta and continue his development over the coming years.
