Team Sunweb sign Leo Hayter and Vegard Stokke to their Development program

Team Sunweb are pleased to announce that Leo Hayter and Vegard Stokke will join their Development program next year, with both riders contracted until the end of the 2021 season.

Leo Hayter (GBR)

A talented junior, Hayter has had success both on the track and road. At the European Championships this year he won the team pursuit with the Great Britain national team and took a strong third place in the individual pursuit, showing his ability against the clock. On the road, Hayter has taken two impressive victories at 1.1 UCI level junior races; Omloop van Borsele and Trofee van Vlaanderen. Hayter has also picked up several wins in the United Kingdom, including the overall title at the Junior Men’s Road Series. These results highlight Hayter as a rider who can compete for the win on varied parcours.

Vegard Stokke (NOR)

A strong climber, Stokke tasted success earlier this year at GP Johan Rosseel where he put in a dominating performance, beating the nearest riders by over two minutes. 2019 has seen the Norwegian produce consistent results with several podium and top ten finishes at Nations Cup or 1.1 UCI level junior races throughout the season. Stokke looks to continue his development with the team next year as he makes the step up to U23 racing.
