Hello,

Every Monday we’ll fill you in on what you might have missed at the weekend.

A 16-year-old has been arrested under the Explosives Act after parts of a homemade bomb were discovered in Chorley.

Neighbours were evacuated and surrounding roads cordoned off by police when a “suspicious object” was discovered.

Elsewhere, news of a landmark Leyland pub wanting to create a beer garden at the front as well as the back got you talking.

A viral video was the hot topic of PNE’s final-day win against Middlesbrough with more than two dozen visiting fans filmed hitching a lift to a Preston pub in the back of a police van. Lancashire Constabulary say there are now investigating.

As for on-field matters, Scott Sinclair has confirmed his PNE departure while there was a fond farewell to stalwart Paul Huntington.

Thanks for reading,

Adam
