Starting October 29, 2018

Teen Tech Playground

Dear Colleague,

Looking for ways to engage and excite teens in your library or classroom? I'd like to help. We've just designed a brand new, online course that will help you prepare teens for tech careers that don't even exist yet!

Teen Tech Playground:
Get Your Teens Tinkering, Gaming, and Podcasting

October 29 to November 5

LEARN MORE

So, if you're thinking of developing a makerspace, a coding club, or a game design workshop, this just may be the catalyst you need to plan, develop and execute your program. Join us for two days of live programming sessions where you will create a plan through small group assignments. Plus, explore self-guided video content and actionable resources that will help you develop your STEM-centric maker project or coding-based gaming initiative. In this course, you will learn how to:

  • Build actionable blueprints for high-interest STEM programs tailored to serve the specialized needs of your teens, whether at a public library or middle/high school
  • Design a teen program from scratch, from ideation to execution, with personalized feedback along the way
  • Get pointers on how to make a case for your project or program
  • Identify and tap community partners to build and maintain your program
  • Learn from model programs and connect with fellow tech-enthusiasts
  • Discover available resources, including grants, to help support your efforts

Registration is open.

Hope to see you there,
