Telling the Hard Truth

They say that the key to any healthy relationship is honesty, but we’ve all had moments when it was harder than it sounds to tell the truth. We want to avoid conflict at all costs, but there are also moments when bringing something out into the light proves to be the hard but necessary move. As believers, we do not function in silos but in community and when we bring others into what is really going on in our heads and hearts, there can be accountability, humility. and genuine growth that builds better relationships.

In “I Told My Husband I Had Feelings for Another Man,” Judy Wu Dominick recounts her own testimony and how she opened up about complicated emotions. My hope is that this encourages all of us to be willing to be known, even when it’s vulnerable. What feels like weakness is actually one of our greatest strengths.
