Telstra is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons since it has been under its current management. Recently it was about its increasingly difficult financial outlook, now we have the latest in a sweat has become a series of unacceptable network outages.

Nearly 10 hours after its mobile network collapsed like a pile of pancakes on Monday, Australia's biggest telecommunications outfit Telstra is yet to inform people why this happened.

Promising to be "more than just a phone service" thanks to an emphasis on community engagement and giving back, the latest Telstra MVNO LYF Mobile still promises fast speeds, affordable prices, online simplicity and a millennial focus.

US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin has acknowledged that the Justice Department needs to take a close look at technology companies like Google that may be monopolies. Earlier a 60 Minutes show on CBS took a detailed look at why Google should be investigated for being an alleged monopoly.
