A Ten at the Top committee has made recommendations to improve relationships between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve after 50 government, law enforcement and business leaders from across the Upstate convened through four times over the past year.

WestGate Mall owner files Chapter 11

On Nov. 2 CBL & Associates Properties Inc., owner and manager of Spartanburg's WestGate Mall and Charleston's Northwoods Mall, as well as 86 other shopping centers around the country, filed voluntary bankruptcy proceedings to deal with $1.5 billion in debt. The firm’s restructuring agreement with more than 60% of its creditors was filed on Aug. 18 and extended twice to Monday.

Morgan Stanley director slated for Athena symposium

The Greenville Chamber will host its ninth annual Athena Leadership Symposium, headlined by Carla Harris, managing director and vice chair of Morgan Stanley, Nov. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
