Blackberry Peach Cobbler ready to go in the oven
Traditionally, skillet cobblers were made in a cast iron skillet but you can make them in any similar-sized pan. They're simple to make:
Preheat the pan in the oven.
Pour the batter in the pan.
Put the sweetened fruit on top of the batter.
Bake.
The fruit sinks through the batter as it bakes. It comes out with fruit on the bottom and a crusty topping--just like other cobblers.
