New Orleans was still reeling from Hurricane Katrina when quarterback Drew Brees, seeking a new home after a devastating injury, made his free-agent visit.

Brees, who would become one of the most prolific passers in NFL history, helped bring the Saints — and the Crescent City — back to life. He's now among the 2024 inductees to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.
