Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 14 on Friday, making the Lone Star state the latest state to ban sex-change surgeries and puberty blockers for children suffering from gender dysphoria. The law, which goes into effect on Sept. 1, prohibits medical interventions such as puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries like double mastectomy for female-born minors identifying as
male. It also forbids the use of state funds for such procedures on children. Full Story.

Days after the controversial drag troupe the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence was uninvited and then re-invited to a pride event at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, a California state senator is inviting a member of the troupe to be honored on the floor of the state Senate. State Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco, announced Tuesday the state's highest legislative body will honor
"Sister Roma" of SPI, a drag group that has been called anti-Christian and anti-Catholic due to its mockery of the priesthood and other religious iconography. Read more.

Lord John Sentamu has resigned as chair and Trustee of Christian Aid following criticism over his handling of historic abuse claims while he was archbishop of York. The 10th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards saw for King & Country take home the Artist of the Year award, while Lauren Daigle and Brandon Lake took home Female Artist of the Year and Male Artist of the Year, respectively. MercyMe took home the Group of the Year award, while "Duck Dynasty" stars Phil and Jase Robertson took home the Podcast Impact award for their "Unashamed" podcast. Phil Robertson told CP that the podcast initially started as a Bible study that turned into an influential ministry, including for those struggling with addiction and gender identity issues. Gospel music artist Kirk Franklin and his wife, Tammy, are the hosts of TV One's new dating series, "The One," which sees the duo provide advice and play matchmakers. The couple says they want to be a part of the dating series to help people find love regardless of their faith. Franklin said he could "care less" if he receives criticism from the Christian community for his involvement in a mainstream show "because I see so much dysfunction even in that own community. ... behind closed doors, people are broken and struggling and not happy."
