| Dear John, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to our KQED community and the California public radio community as a whole. Last Thursday, in celebration of California Public Radio Day, KQED members united with public media supporters from across the state to affirm their love for independent, nonprofit radio. Thank you for your shout-outs on social media, your enthusiasm and your financial support. We truly couldn’t do this without you. Over 2,550 listeners like you gave over $230,000 in support of public radio across the state. These impactful donations will go a long way to strengthen your community. Because of member support, voices from our communities have a platform to be heard far and wide, reliable news and information is free for everyone and independent music can reach new audiences.
