Progress made in storm recovery work

Welcome news: Ascension Parish resident Redina Lee had been without electricity at her home since Hurricane Francine blew through Wednesday night, but on Friday the lights and air conditioning came back on as service was restored. "Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord," Lee said.

"I hope it stay on," she added.

Power gradually returned to businesses and homes two days after the storm, restoring some sense of normalcy for residents in southeast Louisiana.
