So Why Didn’t Beyoncé Sing “Shadowland” in the Lion King Remake?

Simba and Mufasa in The Lion King
So if Jon Favreau wants to go back and have Donald Glover sing "Endless Night" and give me my Beyoncé take on "Shadowland", I'd rewatch The Lion King again. Otherwise, KEEP IT.

Rob Liefeld’s Thoughts on Harley Quinn’s Costumes Weren’t Necessary or Interesting

Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn
Comic book writer and artist Rob Liefeld is a controversial figure for his art style and writing but is still responsible for co-creating Cable and Deadpool, two of the most iconic modern X-Men characters, as well as his work on X-Force and The New Mutants, which is why him throwing his opinion into sexy costume discourse concerning Harley Quinn is worth looking at.

How The Witcher Falls Into Fantasy’s Trope of Comparing Disability and Monstrousness

Geralt and Yennefer in Netflix's The Witcher.
I love a good monster, and Netflix's The Witcher has lots of them. Something I also generally love is a blurred line between monster and human; it’s a narrative device than can lend itself to really interesting explorations of morality, identity, and what it means to be a person. Unfortunately, throughout the comparatively short life of fantasy as a genre, it’s mostly been a less than productive trope, often exposing the biases of the writers more than anything.

Review: Call of the Wild Is an Earnest, Sweeping Adventure (That Proves Dogs and Harrison Ford are Just Really Great)

The Call of the Wild is an earnest, beautifully made adventure that will leave you wanting to hug your pets and maybe also call your parents (or your kids).
