ZACH: This week we had so many incredible guests, but a through line for so many of them was: advocacy, whether it was Alexis Ohanian sitting down with us to talk parental leave or Kelly Bachman sharing her brave story of calling Harvey Weinstein out to his face.
I think it’s important during tumultuous times like we are in, where everything and nothing happens in a single day, to remember that there are people who are trying everyday to make the world a little better. And I’m so glad they come on our show to talk about why.

ALEX: I was today years old when I learned just how devoted Benedict Cumberbatch stans are! On Friday (when I wrote this to you, dear AM2DM newsletter readers) we aired our interview with Cumberbatch and his costar Tuppence Middleton about their new flick, "The Current War." In advance, I tweeted looking for questions from fans and — dang — they responded in full force. I love asking our guests questions right from Twitter, especially when they are so enthusiastic. The interview covered a lot of ground — Marvel, Middleton's role in "Sense8," Weinstein, Brexit, Marvel, and more.
