The top 10 Scottish areas with the highest vaccination rates

Vaccine rates have rocketed back up the news agenda after it was confirmed around half the coronavirus vaccine appointments at a major Glasgow vaccination centre this weekend were missed.

It begs the question: how is the vaccine rollout going across Scotland?

We poured through the latest Scottish Government data to find out which areas of Scotland have the highest rates of vaccination.

 

Lost village found next to Scottish motorway

Remains of a lost medieval village have been discovered next to a motorway with an ancient dagger found buried under one of the abandoned buildings.

Traces of four buildings, which date from the 14th to 17th Century, have been discovered next to the hard shoulder of the M74.

Under one building, an intriguing collection of artefacts was found in the foundations.

 

Live Covid-19 update from FM expected

Remember when there was a  Covid briefing every day? Well it's back today as the First Minister is to address the rising virus numbers across parts of Scotland this afternoon.

Glasgow is currently the only area in Scotland subjected to level three restrictions but there are other council areas such as Clackmannanshire and East Renfrewshire, which are facing rising infection rates.
