The three major U.S. indexes fell for the fifth consecutive week after a sudden shift in sentiment sent stocks plummeting on Thursday. Friday's employment report showed that 428,000 jobs were generated by the economy in April, and the major indexes ended the week with only modest declines. U.S. stock futures turned positive and then negative again Friday after of the governmentâs strong April jobs report. Futures remained down in this morning's pre-market session. |
