FIRST INTRODUCED IN 1996, THE 5620 G-STAR ELWOOD REPRESENTS THE ORIGINAL 3D DENIM DESIGN.
 
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE ELWOOD
The design was inspired by a passing motorcyclist wearing jeans. Through longtime exposure to sun, rain and wind the jeans had taken the form of his body. Wishing to recreate the 3D shape of those wet solidified jeans, Morisset created the G-Star Elwood.
 
THE G-STAR 3D DESIGN PRINCIPLES
Instead of employing the traditional pattern making process, the Elwood is constructed using the 3D denim method. As a result, the jeans is sculpted around the wearer through inserted panels and darts.
