Here's what's going on in the market this week:

 

 

U.S. stocks fell in a volatile trading week last week, with the Nasdaq falling nearly 22% since its peak, thus meeting the threshold of 20% to be considered a bear market. The Dow and The S&P 500 also posted losses for the week despite a rally Wednesday.

 

Stock futures gained momentum in today's pre-market trading session. Dow futures gained 1.2%. S&P 500 futures rose 1.1%, and futures on the Nasdaq traded 1.1% higher.

 

 

While the world may look a little bleak at the moment, there is plenty to be excited for. Around the end of October, Facebook, now Meta, announced its vision to create a unified virtual community, where users get to work, play and stay connected.
