Stocks were down slightly last week, but futures are pointing to a higher open to start the week. The S&P 500 is flirting with record highs again with futures up 0.5% ahead of the market open. Nasdaq-100 futures are up 0.5%, and Dow contracts are up 0.4%.

 

Senators hammered out the final details of a $1 trillion infrastructure deal over the weekend. Now, the legislation heads to the House of Representatives before heading to President Biden's desk for a final signature. The deal's passage could be a catalyst for a rally this week.

 

 

These stocks could be excellent short-squeeze candidates.
