Here's what's going on in the market this week:

 

Nasdaq, the S&P, and the Dow closed Friday's with gains but the indices posted losses for the week, ending a five week positive streak. Inflation fears played a big part in the pullback.

 

On Friday, the University of Michigan reported that a preliminary reading of its consumer confidence index fell to the lowest it has been in 10 years, surpassing most analyst's expectations. 

 

Gold has also soared to a five month high as investors seek shelter from record-breaking inflation.

 

 

The volatility of the penny stocks can never be understated, so if you’re thinking of throwing your inheritance at the markets, then maybe take a step back from the ledge.

 

If however, you’re in a good financial position, penny stocks such as these could be a great addition to a diverse investment portfolio.
