The 7 strangest places to visit in Provo |
|
| | Provo is widely known as being home to the nation's No. 1 most sober college campus, Brigham Young University. But Provo isn't just a college town — the city has some interesting sites full of quirky history. Three of the seven locations on this list hold world records, and another earned the title of being a national first. From beautiful nature sites to perhaps the world's largest pole sign museum, here are the city's unique destinations you may not have heard about ... even if you're a local! | The Utah House approved HB269 in a unanimous vote on Friday. The bill would require a biennial election audit in even-numbered years. It's now on its way to the Senate for consideration. While the most recent audit revealed no evidence of fraud, House Majority Leader Mike Schultz said, "there’s always room for improvement and it’s always important that we keep our eye on the ball and strive for perfection." Schultz requested a legislative audit in 2021 of Utah's voting systems, citing a desire to increase confidence in Utah's election system. "I just thought there was a better way we can do this. I think we can take the politics out of it and let’s just do what’s right and let’s just audit all of our elections," he said. Read more about the bill.
