The MacBook Air has dominated the $1,000 price point for a long time, and the most recent M3 upgrade (and subsequent bump to 16GB of RAM in the base model), has made it even better. But Digital Trends suggests that it’s now being challenged by the new OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 from HP.

In its report, Digital Trends compares the two machines across a range of factors, including design, performance, display, and portability. The RedMagic Nova is notable for its solid build, standout looks, speedy performance and charge speeds, and impressive gaming features, according to an in-depth review of the $499 Android tablet by Digital Trends. However, downsides include some color and glare issues with the display, and a tendency to run hot.

“Overall, the RedMagic Nova ticks off more boxes than almost any slate in its price bracket, and it does so in style,” the review concludes. “For its target audience, it delivers on the aspects where it matters, and that’s a win at the end of the day”...

The W95A mini-LED QLED TV costs around $1,500 for a 65-inch model and it’s a very exciting piece of kit, according to Digital Trends. After going hands-on with Panasonic’s TV, the picture was found to offer bright, sparkling HDR highlights, excellent black levels and shadow detail, natural and accurate colors, and outstanding motion resolution. The TV’s build quality is excellent, too.

Sounds perfect, right? Well, not quite. Panasonic has created a custom integration with Fire TV OS, and this caused some annoyances. For example, every so often, the promotional space up top started auto-playing video with sound. Anti-glare performance was also a concern ...

Billy Zane appears to nail it in his performance as Marlon Brando in the first trailer for Waltzing for Brando. Written and directed by Bill Fishman (Tapeheads, Car 54, My Dinner with Jimi), the movie takes place between 1969 and 1974, focusing on the lesser-known story of Brando's bid to build an ecological paradise on a small, uninhabited island in Tahiti.

It’s based on a memoir by architect Bernard Judge, and it was he whom Brando picked to help him create the world’s first truly sustainable ecological retreat. Waltzing with Brando will premiere at the Torino Film Festival on November 30, followed by a wider release next year ...

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment President David Haddad has told Variety that a sequel to the popular Harry Potter action-adventure game Hogwarts Legacy is a "very big priority" for the company, adding that WB Games wants to "build authentic experiences to delight [fans]."

Haddad also confirmed that WB's gaming team is working with Warner Bros. Television to ensure that "big-picture storytelling elements" align with what will happen in the upcoming Harry Potter HBO series. Avalanche Software's Hogwarts Legacy was the bestselling game of 2023, even outselling the likes of Call of Duty, so it makes perfect sense for Warner Bros. to focus on a follow-up.
