Good morning, Marketer, this takes the cake and runs with it.

We’re working on our annual Career and Salary Report which means I get to interview a bunch of you folks. It’s my favorite part of this job. You are an amazing group of people. Smart, funny and enthusiastic. You love solving puzzles and discovering new trends and methods. 

There is no standard background for a marketer. You majored in business, English, theater, math, computer science, philosophy, foreign languages. Some of you wanted to be in business when you were in high school. Others fell into it via an internship or early job. Your career paths all seem driven by, “That looks interesting.” Thanks to everyone who’s taken the time to talk and  really look forward to speaking with more of you.
