BESTHOFF BLOCK: The Besthoff family has big plans for the intersection of St. Charles and Louisiana avenues in New Orleans, where they have bought up most of the block that once was the site of one of their K&B drugstores. The project calls for two apartment buildings — one four stories with 94 units, the other three stories with 20 units — several ground-floor retail spaces totaling 18,000 square feet and a new street that will bisect the block.
