INDUSTRY NEWS

NATIONAL: The 14th Annual GO Campaign Gala will take place virtually Oct. 24 and will be hosted by Robert Pattinson, Lily Collins, and Ewan McGregor. All funds raised by the free event will support GO Campaign’s continued efforts for global COVID-19 relief and
racial justice.

CHICAGO: TheWit Hotel and ROOF on TheWit reopened last week. All hotel spaces have been reimagined with social distancing in mind; highlights include contactless check-in, mandatory masks, and Hilton's CleanStay program for guest rooms. The ROOF, the hotel's 7,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor venue on the 27th floor, will show NFL games every Sunday.

LAS VEGAS: Wynn Resorts has been working with University Medical Center, Georgetown University, and labs in California and New York to learn how to implement rapid COVID-19 testing at large gatherings. The resort is now building an onsite testing lab slated to open before Thanksgiving.

NEW YORK: Bank of America’s Winter Village is returning to Bryant Park for its 19th season on Oct. 30. The village will feature a holiday marketplace curated by Urbanspace, a skating rink, and The Lodge Deck—an outdoor skate-inspired space where visitors can enjoy food and festive cocktails. The winter village will be open until March 7 with strict safety precautions in place to keep guests safe.

ST. LOUIS: Explore St. Louis is launching StreamStage—a new hybrid meeting solution offered in the Ferrara Theatre featuring everything needed for a hybrid experience. Production management, internet bandwidth, studio backdrops, streaming technology, and more will be available for full or half-day rental, in efforts to assist event and meeting professionals in finding new and safe ways to work.
