I hope your March is off to a great start. In honor of Women’s History Month and in light of ongoing global tension, we celebrate powerful and inspiring women who have given us context into the political climate of the world and how it affects us. Women like Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett, political pundit Ann Coulter, and US Congresswoman Maxine Waters. We aim to continue bringing these thought leaders to your screens to shed light on how world events affect our lives.
In closing another week of production on The Carlos Watson Show, we caught up with a series of guests with impressive accomplishments in entertainment, politics, and business. We kicked off the week with award-winning actor Jeffrey Wright of HBO’s Westworld, who spoke about his varied acting career, the inspiration behind his characters, and how he got his start. Then, Texas congressman Pete Sessions shared the story of how he grew his career in politics to become one of the most powerful people in Congress. He was followed by actress and author Blanca Blanco, where we learned about the challenges of growing up in an immigrant family and all about her new book Breaking the Mold. After Blanca, we hosted Grammy nominees and mother/son duo Nnenna & Pierce Freelon, who shared a refreshing outlook and optimism on living your passion. Last but not least, we hosted cannatech pioneer Chad Bronstein, who has entered into the complex and highly regulated industries of cannabis and psychedelics by focusing on marketplace data and consumer insights.
Next week, we’ve got a new collection of guests that push the envelope and expand our collective horizons. We have outspoken conservative actress and musician Joy Villa. We have veteran comedian George Wallace, whose 40+ year career has earned him several television and film appearances, and even his own HBO special. We have accomplished Mexican actor Alfonso Herrera, who has found success in the States with major roles in Netflix’s Ozark and Sense8. We close the week with a visit from actress Alisha Wainwright, star of AppleTV’s PALMER and Netflix’s Raising Dion. Stars you know, features you should, and stories you haven’t heard.
Stick with us as we stay on the path of Elevating the Conversation – fresh perspectives, inspiring endeavors, and some fun along the way. We’re excited to bring the next wave of guests directly to you – check them out on The Carlos Watson Show.
