Gem drops dropped...for now

As you'll see in the editor's note below, our Friday newsletter is no more. But don't you worry: The gems you've come to love and expect will remain. From now on, expect them on Monday.

The real question is: Do you have any tech, entrepreneurial or life gems you'd like the Technical.ly audience to know about?

As a wise woman once said in a speech everyone thought was done by a man: "Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth."

Let us know any advice you have by replying to this email or sending a note to , anytime.

Editor's note: Starting tomorrow, you won't see your usual daily emails from Technical.ly in your inbox on Fridays. Why? For the past few months, you may have noticed these end-of-the-week newsletters have looked different from the other Monday-through-Thursday dailies we send, featuring reporters' roundups of local tech news we didn't cover ourselves plus a couple of national-focused articles. Now, we're pausing that experiment to see if our time would be better spent on other to-be-announced newsroom initiatives. Think of it as a new iteration of our past August Friday pilots, which itself was a pilot of what a version of a four-day work week could look like for Technical.ly. In all of these experiments, we're aiming to go deeper and better, not wider.

We want to hear what you think of this change. Did you love the Friday roundups? Do you want to see fewer emails in general? Reply to this one to let us know. We're always listening to reader feedback and thinking of how to get better at bringing you the information you need to navigate your local tech community. 'Til then, see you Monday!
