Hello,

This grey Monday morning is a world away from the colourful scenes in Preston at the weekend as the Caribbean Carnival made its long-awaited return.

With a concert in Moor Park on Saturday and the fantastic parade on Sunday, there was plenty going on.

Check out our gallery below for the very best shots from the weekend.

Elsewhere, a Lancashire Post journalist was among the Liverpool fans caught up in the chaos ahead of the Champions League final in Paris.

Tear gassed, and needing to help children detached from their parents, Mike Hill’s first-hand account underlines that UEFA have some serious questions to answer.

Read on for some of the stories you may have missed at the weekend.

Thanks for reading,

Adam
