T. Rowe Price hits building, hiring milestones

T. Rowe Price recently celebrated a construction milestone for its new global headquarters in Baltimore's Harbor Point area. The event included a beam-signing ceremony attended by the firm's executive team, including CEO Rob Sharps. This 550,000-square-foot, sustainable headquarters is being developed in partnership with Beatty Development Group and Armada Hoffler Properties and is expected to open in late 2024.

This marks a significant move from the firm's long-standing location at 100 E. Pratt Street, its headquarters since 1975.

In other T. Rowe Price news, the investment management firm appointed Ramon Richards as its new chief technology officer (CTO) in September. As CTO, he leads technology functions, including business solutions and services. Richards was previously the chief information officer at Fannie Mae, overseeing digital transformation, software engineering and cybersecurity. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also has a background in electrical engineering-telecommunications from the Georgia Institute of Technology and mathematics from Morehouse College. Richards additionally completed an executive development program with Harvard Business School.
